An Argentine court is due to sentence a former navy captain dubbed the Blond Angel of Death along with 17 others for kidnap and torture during the 1976 to 1983 military rule.
Alfredo Astiz and the other defendants are accused of abuses at the Navy Mechanics School detention centre and could face life in prison.
Official figures say 9,000 people were kidnapped, tortured and killed in what became known as Argentina's "Dirty War," but many believe the real number to be closer to 30,000.
