Watch this huge cargo aircraft, the Antonov An-124 Ruslan (Антонов Ан-124 "Руслан", UR-82072) perform a powerful takeoff from RAF Brize Norton, UK, nearly blowing us spotters away!

On the days leading up to the An-225's arrival at Brize Norton (BZZ/EGVN), the smaller An-124 visited a number of times. Here it is on the 27th August 2018, just 2 days before the 225 arrived. Watch as the massive jet taxies across the runway and lines up on runway 25. Similar to the AN225, the AN124 has to perform engine runs for a few minutes before departing - it is hard to capture the strength of the jet blast through video footage but I hope this gives you a good idea! It was immense 😮 I thought the fence was going to fall over! After all 4 of the engines were warmed up, it was time for it to depart, leaving a trail of black smoke behind.
