The Maithan Dam is located at Maithon 48 km frm Dhanbad in the state of Jharkhand, last border of WB.The dam is Constructed on Barakar River.It is 15,712ft(4,789m)long and 165ft (50m)high.This dam was specially designed for flood control & electric power generates 60,000 Kw.
