Today am gonna reveal you the bitter truth behind some of the online seed scams at ebay and amazon websites like the Rainbow colored roses, blue water melons, blue straw berries, huge giant water melons, giant chillies and many other extraordinary and unreal looking varieties sold online. We will also look into some important quick tips on ordering seeds online.
Dear Members of our gardening family and public beware of buying seeds online. Some retailers on eBay and Amazon have been selling some unreal and fake seeds and also potentially diseased seeds that never germinate. Or even if they germinate, may not be the real seeds or turn out to be unhealthy plants.
I have personally experienced this twice. First time was last year, when I purchased adenium seeds from amazon and none of these germinated with the best seed starting mix meant for adenium. Then recently I purchased Venus fly trap seeds from ebay. Venus fly trap is a carnivorous plant. And am sure most of my gardener friends and newbie gardeners are attracted towards these type of special plants and get scammed. What I received was a little packet from ebay and the seeds never looked like the venus fly trap seeds. I tried germinating following all instructions properly and seeds germinated in a week and started dying from day 10. And showed no signs of growth even with the best care.
The trick here used by these fraudsters is, Before you know you are cheated, the refund period is over and you are not eligible for refund.
There are still a lot of unreal looking stuff sold online at amazon and ebay. Just collected some of these snapshots from these websites, so that your money never goes into the drain.
