In preparation for the nation wide celebration of RAAF Jubilee Year, marking a half-century of dramatic development in the RAAF since the founding of the air force at Point Cook, Victoria, in 1921. One of the focal points of the celebration will be the release of a special 30 minute historical film in colour for theatre and TV use. This film shows a formation of 4 McDonnell F4E Phantoms photographed by Sydney cameraman Mike Franklin from the rear cockpit of a Macchi jet trainer.
