the motto of the nss is “not me but you”. the aim of the nss is personality development of the student through community service. more over the students of our institution are teacher trainees. they will be teachers and mould the students as future citizens of india.
inview of the above, national service scheme (nss), government district institute of education and training (diet), karimnagar has been conducting special camps along with regular activities for six years in various villages. nss diet karimnagar also adopted the village – lambadipally mandal:mallial of karimnagar district.
nss diet karimnagar conducted a special camp from 05.01.2015 to 11.01.2015 at our adopted village – lambadipally. the following activities have been taken up:-
permanent structures with shramadanam: during the camp, dumping yard for village and toilets for the school constructed with shrama service of volunteers and people contribution in the form of money. some work also done for the constrction of bath rooms at grave yard.
tricycle: tricycle is also arranged with people contributions along with a worker to collect garbage from houses. the awareness was also given to the people of lambadipally to hand over the garbage collector.
blood grouping: 385 people of lambadipally have been tested their blood sample for blood grouping. their details along with phone numbers have been collected. their blood groups along with personal details will be kept in village blog lambadipally.blogspot.in to contact when ever need arises.
hand writing development programme: it has been planned for 232 students studying from class iii to x with providing note books and pencils in telugu and english daily from 5pm to 7pm for seven days. 45 nss volunteers trained the students for the writing development. exihibition was also arranged on the day of valedictory.
training on cultural activities for students: cultural activities like kolatam, yogchap and dandia have trained for 150 studsents from 7pm to 9pm.
canvassing of mission kakatiya: 7 trained volunteers demonstrated mission kakatiya in five villages viz., lambadipally, thakkallapally, thatipally, domalakunta and mallial to aware the villagers about prestigious programme of the telangana government at 7pm to 8pm.
people representatives of thevillage, village elders, aarya youth members, bharath nirman volunteers of the village involved along with 80 volunteers in the above avtivities.
