Instagram has finally made it possible for users to search for Instagram posts by keywords and phrases in the posts’ caption and metadata. Watch this video to learn how to find Instagram posts by keyword or phrase.

To begin, open Instagram and tap the search icon at the bottom. Now, tap the search bar at the top. Type in the keyword or phrase you want to search for. When the search results appear tap the keyword or phrase or a similar one that appears. This will bring you to a page with posts related to that keyword. You may find that if you search for something specific, a keyword phrase might not appear in the search results and you could find just related accounts and hashtags instead. On keyword-related post result pages, sometimes you may see additional keyword filters appear at the top. Tapping one of these will help you narrow down your search to find a more specific category of posts. When you find what you’re looking for, you can easily save a post by tapping the ribbon icon in the bottom right corner of the post.
