I did this all on the ground with the truck on blocks. I did not unbolt any suspension parts except the u bolts and leaf spring bolt. The hardest part was getting the differential casing lined back up with the pin bolt on the leaf spring. If you're buying a cheap kit make sure the u bolts are the correct width as two of mine were the wrong size and very brittle. This kit really made a bigger difference than I thought! I'm running 35s on 12" wide rims and I had to trim the bumper. 33s would've been a better choice.
