if you've bought a Joie Elevate and you have it on the lower 2 or 3 settings for the head rest, you'll likely find the seat belt is very stiff to the point you can't tighten it sufficiently for the your child. This 10 minute re-route of the seat belt has made it considerably easier for us.

please note that doing this may void any manufacturers warranty/guarantee as you're modifying it away from the original spec. in my personal opinion this will not make the seat any less safe but you're responsible for making your own decision as to whether or not you deem it suitable, I take no responsibility for any damage or failures as a result of following these instructions
