This series shows the Islamic story of the life of Maryam upon her be peace. She is one of the four women leaders of paradise, meaning she is above all the women of the earth along with the wife of Pharoah, Asiya (r.a), and the prophet Muhammads (s.a.w) first wife Khadijah (r.a) and his daughter Fatimah (r.a). Maryam a.s (Mary) is the only woman mentioned in the Qur'aan by name and she even has a whole chapter named after her, so this proves that those who say Islam is oppressive to women and shows them no respect are speaking nonsense.
