We continue hiking all the official short-distance trails in Picos de Europa, a mountain range located in the north of Spaon. Today we hike the route with the code PR-PNPE 8 and the name Demués to Los Lagos. This hiking trail in Picos de Europa starts in the village named Demués, belinging to the asturian municipality of Onís.

The route starts in the outskirts of the village, it is linear and covers a distance of 10.1 km. The elevation gain is around 700 m, which means that it is quite steep and requires a minimum fitness level. An alternative to make this trail easier on the legs is to spend the night in the Vega de Enol refuge and go back to the car the following day. The alternative (my choice in this case) is to walk a total of 20.2 km by going back to the car the same day. Goes without saying: the choice is obviously yours.
