Make Way is a community artwork between Glasgow’s Pollokshaws Road and Cavandish Street, which explores movement and perception. Through a series of workshops with local residents, schools and community groups, and cycling communities, New Practice created an artwork which forms a new wayfinding landmark linking the city centre to the communities of the Southside.
This artwork was been delivered by New Practice as part of the South City Way, with support and assistance from Sustrans, Glasgow City Council and New Gorbals Housing Association.
South City Way is a new walking and cycling route linking Queen’s Park with Glasgow City Centre via Victoria Road and Gorbals Street. The project has been funded by Glasgow City Council and Transport Scotland through Sustrans Scotland’s Places for Everyone programme.
