(17 Nov 2016) People fleeing fighting in Mosul and its surrounding areas continued to gather at Omer Qamchi in northern Iraq on Thursday.
Vehicles transporting internally displaced persons arrived at a makeshift camp, guarded by peshmerga Kurdish fighters.
As the sun set, sleeping bags were handed out.
Iraqi special forces said on Thursday that they are temporarily pausing in their push into Mosul, held by the Islamic State group, due to poor weather.
