Milk powder mawa is a quick and easy substitute for whole milk khoya which take hours to make at home and also consumes lot of gas. This mawa needs just three ingredients and can be made in just 4-5 mins. This recipe makes nice crumbly texture mawa like the real mawa you buy from market. So, do try this easy and quick recipe to make homemade mawa and make yummy sweets.

Ingredients:
2 cups Dry Milk Powder
½ Cup Milk (boiled and cooled)
½ cup Unsalted Butter (or Ghee)
Instructions:
1. So lets start the recipe, for this first take a wok on low heat and then add ½ cup unsalted butter. I have used butter but you can also use ghee. Now let it heat and melt completely.
2. As soon as its melts add ½ cup milk and then immediately add 2 cup non-fat dry milk powder because if milk becomes too hot then milk powder can form lumps which will be bad for mawa consistency.
3. Now mix all ingredients well till it becomes like a smooth paste. When it becomes like a paste increase heat to low medium, just make sure to keep mixing it continuously. Also make sure to keep heat on lower side because on high heat mawa can start burning from bottom.
4. Now keep mixing till it becomes thick. It took me around 3-4 minutes to get nice thick consistency. As soon as you get this consistency switch of the gas.
5. You can see it is little soft right now but it will become little hard when it cools down. So, use it any of your recipes when it has cooled down.
