July 14, 2011. (Romereports.com) The major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Church, Sviatoslav Shevchuk, has invited Benedict XVI to visit his country. And by doing so, he would be following in the footsteps of his predecessor.
The major Archbishop Shevchuk made the invitation while celebrating the 10th anniversary of the visit by John Paul II.
Last March Shevchuk was elected as the major archbishop of the Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Church and visited the pope to express his unity with the Holy See.
