Under vårterminen 2023 tog CONCORD Sverige tempen på EU som global aktör i tre digitala frukostträffar. During the spring semester of 2023, CONCORD Sweden arranged three digital breakfast meeting to discuss the EU's global role.
Seminar 2: Are EU delegations a reliable partner for civil society? (in english)
At international level, EU delegations play in important role in planning, designing and implementing EU development initiatives and in coordinating with Members States the implementation of all EU support under the Team Europe Approach, which aims to strengthen development cooperation with Member States. In line with this approach, EU delegations are invited to engage regularly with local civil society actors and consult with them on the EU's multiannual priorities at country level. How this cooperation will be implemented is defined in a four-year strategy developed jointly by delegations and EU Member States in consultation with civil society organisations.
How effective and inclusive is cooperation between EU delegations and civil society organisations? Does the Team Europe approach strengthen the role of local actors in shaping development cooperation?
