Today, my travels take me to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and the grave site of actor, comedian, singer, entertainer and founder, Danny Thomas.
Thomas and his wife, Rose Marie, are interred in a private mausoleum on the grounds of St. Jude's hospital, behind the Danny Thomas Pavillion and museum. His memorial statue stands in front of the hospital.
I also remember the cast of his popular 1960s TV sitcom, Make Room For Daddy aka The Danny Thomas Show. The main cast members included Jean Hagen, Marjorie Lord, Rusty Hamer, Sherry Jackson and Angela Cartwright.
