I Tried Slowtella Hazelnut Spread on Pancakes and WOW!
INGREDIENTS:
400g all purpose flour
pinch of salt
600ml milk
1 egg
20g fresh yeast
40g sugar
Slowtella for the filling (like Nutella but healthier and tastier)
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a cup, prepare the yeast mixture from cca 2 deciliter of lukewarm milk, a tablespoon of flour, a pinch of sugar, and 20g of yeast.
In a bowl, sift the flour, add the risen yeast mixture, one egg, the remaining sugar, a pinch of salt, and the rest of the lukewarm milk. (I like to mix the egg with milk before adding to mixture.)
Stir and knead into a loose dough. Cover it with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place.
Sometimes it only takes 15-20 minutes.
The dough for pancakes rises quickly and is forming nice bubbles on the top.
Heat a frying pan, lightly coat it with sunflower oil, and ladle the pancake batter onto it gradually.
This step is quite important: Take the batter only from the top of the bowl to ensure fluffy and soft pancakes.
Fry slowly to prevent them from burning. When the pancakes are partly fried on one side add one teaspoon of Slowtella and cover with another tablespoon of dough. Flip them with a spatula to fry on the other side.
