Ford unleashes an 800-HP Monster In the New Mustang GTD. The new Mustang GTD supercar is a street-legal race car with a supercharged V8 that's even more powerful than the outgoing Shelby GT500.

The 2025 Mustang GTD is an all-new supercar that brings racetrack performance to public roads, making it the highest-performing car to ever bear the Mustang name.

Based on the Mustang GT3 race car, the Mustang GTD uses a completely different architecture and features a supercharged V8 engine, rear transaxle transmission, and advanced suspension setup.
With its advanced push-rod suspension and functional aerodynamic pieces, including a rear wing with adjustable downforce, the Mustang GTD is designed for precise adjustments and maximum performance. Availability is expected in late 2024 or early 2025 with pricing starting at around $300,000.

The Ford Mustang is entering a new Le Mans- ready era, it appears. Ford has unveiled an all-new supercar bearing the Mustang nameplate and using the same architecture and engineering as the Mustang GT3 race car. It's called the 2025 Mustang GTD, and Ford claims it will leave the likes of Porsche, Aston Martin, and Mercedes-Benz in the rearview mirror.
