In today's video, I wanted to show you how I can tell when it's time to water my cactus plants. I'm also going to give you some tips on how I water and take care of them. Some may require a different watering schedule, so try and adjust the amount of waterings, to the type of climate their in. Getting to know how they grow and what they look like when they need water, will help you better understand how cactus and succulents like to be watered.
I always use the 'Soak & Dry' method. Meaning, I soak the soil all the way through when it's time to water, letting them dry out completely and I let them stay dry for a few days up to a week between the waterings, depending on the variety and if they're dormant or not. During dormancy, most of my succulents and cacti get watered once, every 3 weeks to a month. Compared to when their actively growing, I water about once, every week, to twice a week sometimes. Again.. it all depends on the variety you have and what's going on in the environment around them. I'm always here if you need any help!
