Independent band Call of All (feat. Hunter Watson & Cody Webb) debuts on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart at #3! While pop, hip-hop and electronic are the mainstram genres these days, rock music is sometimes an afterthought in the mainstream scene.
2017 has been was an absolutely great year in music. Not only were there several great albums, but we saw some terrific music from new and up and coming bands. If you have been looking for an INSANE new band to follow, then you have found them, They are CALL OF ALL.
The brand new rock group called Call of All just rang in the #19 spot on Billboard’s Independent Album charts as they released their debut album “War & Illusion” on August 25th, 2017.
The alternative rock outfit seems to be on track for success with their newly released album and music video for the title track “War & Illusion” also in motion. Call of All plans to hit the road touring in 2018.
So, you are probably asking where have all the great rock bands gone, well, here you go! While finding a new modern rock band on commercial radio is relegated to a very few good rock stations, Shallow Side refuses to accept the idea that rock music is dead. This is one band that will not bow down to Pop Music, Rap Music, Heavy Metal or Classic Rock music.
Vocalist Hunter Watson has also recently made an impact in the film and television world being featured on AMC’s "The Walking Dead" as one of Negan’s saviors in season 7, and landing a principal role with Tyler Perry on TLC’s “Too Close To Home”. The veteran recording artist has released his 3rd album now and is on the rise along with the band.
Guitarist and producer of Call of All’s debut album “War & Illusion” Cody Webb, is also the frontman and guitarist for rock band Ages Apart. Cody along with Ages Apart toured with Multi Platinum rock act Hinder throughout 2015 and 2016 in support of their sophomore release “S.T.A.T.I.C.". Cody has also shared the stage with top rock acts such as Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Sick Puppies.
The challenge for bands of any genre, like rock music, pop music, heavy metal music or classic rock music in the 21st century is to be heard. The days of radio play are practically over and rock bands particularly suffer from a lack of any recognition. New Rock Music Bands like Shallow Side rely on word of mouth and social media to build an audience and following. The way they achieve either of those is to tour and play their rock music live. Some dates pay better than others. Which is why sponsorships like this one are so important.
Call of All's familiar, yet fresh sound is reaching mainstream exposure even without the support of a label. The debut album showcases a signature musical style, while also displaying a refreshing sense of diversity from track to track. The title track “War & Illusion” is a smooth rock single geared for rock radio, while other songs on the album such as “Alive” hint to the potential of being a top 40 crossover hit. The band brings stellar guitar melodies and honest lyrical content to the table packing a punch in its first effort.
