When you think of the most expensive games ever made, you think of gaming juggernauts: Games like Grand Theft Auto, Cyberpunk or Spider-Man. Besides these games, you’ll also find games with ludicrously high marketing budgets like Monopoly GO and Genshin Impact. But among all these titles, you will find a lesser known game sitting at the 20th spot of the list. Immortals of Aveum released in August of 2023 and it had a budget of 125 Million dollars. For context that’s more than The Witcher 3 and Half-Life 2 combined.Unlike the two aforementioned games, Immortals of Aveum did not sell well. While we do not know the exact amount of copies distributed, Immortals of Aveum ranked as the 469th best-selling game of 2023 in Europe. For the 20th most expensive to make game of all time, that’s disastrous.
