In this video by Pardha Mantravadi from Texavi, you can learn who the key stakeholders in the agile software development projects are. This knowledge, coupled with the insights on how one can engage with these stakeholders, ensures effective communication and results in smooth execution of the project. These key stakeholders come from different layers, departments and team structures. Broadly speaking they can be put under four categories - Business, Technical, Project and Development Team.
From the get go, the project, change initiative or program gets driven by the business stakeholders. As we keep saying "business drives technology and not the other way round", its important to give attention to the business stakeholder as they provide the vision, support, commitment and resources to the project. As the project gets into the next stages, project stakeholders step in and the resource allocation kicks off. From then on, setting up the project objectives, roadmap and the planning and scheduling of the project ensue. Of course, once these are all in place, the technical and development team members come into the fore and offer their valuable services.
What this part 1 video to understand the broad categories of the key stakeholders and the highlight on business and project stakeholders.
