President Edgar Lungu says the PF has in the last ten years laid a strong foundation for economic growth.
President Lungu says investments in the generation of electricity and other infrastructure projects are likely to play a key role in economic recovery.
The President says reduced debt contraction and increased job creation will be some of the key programs that the party will implement.
He says the COVID-19 pandemic has affected economies and that government will work at reducing its spread.
President Lungu says in growing the economy, government will promote import substitution as well as promote Zambian-owned companies.
The President says supermarkets will equally not be allowed to bring in products that can be produced within the country.
President Lungu says money will be pumped in government Banks so that they can give affordable loans to those running small businesses.
He said this when he launched the 2021 to 2026 PF manifesto under the theme ‘Every Zambian Counts for a prosperous, peaceful, stable and an all-inclusive Zambia.’
The President said the PF will use the Manifesto to review its mandate with the Zambians.
Meanwhile, President Lungu said the PF administration will fight corruption from all angles.
He said there is need for integrity committees in different institutions to intensify the fight against corruption.
And PF Secretary General Davis Mwila said the 2021 to 2026 Manifesto will consolidate what has been done by the party from 2016 to 2021.
