During a holiday to Mauritius, I got introduced to this amazing hot sauce/paste. It is very versatile, with great flavour, and so easy to make! I originally released this video in 2017...I am re-uploading because the original upload somehow got corrupted and the sound lost sync. I also took the opportunity to make some edits to it!
The recipe:
- 100g Green Piri Piri Chillis (or other birds-eye type chillies)
- 50g white onion
- 1 clove of garlic (more if you like!)
- a small piece of ginger
- heaped teaspoon of salt
- 2 tbsp of white vinegar
- 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
Method: de-seed the chillis. Then blend everything together into a fine paste. Simmer over low heat to thicken it up. Easy!
