Rob and Ryan cook through a "traditional" Jewish brisket recipe! The recipe was given to us by our listener, Rebecca, whom comes from a Jewish household. This is her great-grandma's recipe, and we got full permission to share this recipe with you all.

It's super easy and super delicious! You should be cooking through this all the time! Keep Sandy's memory alive by cooking through this amazing (and simple) brisket recipe!

Ingredients:
1 brisket
2 boxes of Lipton Onion Soup Mix (4 packets total)
1/2 cup of red wine
~1 cup of cut up mushrooms

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Place silver foil both ways in a large pan.
2. Pour in 2 packets of the Lipton soup mix on the bottom of the pan.
3. Lay washed and unseasoned brisket on top of the soup mix.
4. Pour over remaining soup mix on top of brisket.
5. Fold silver foil over the brisket ensuring there are no openings.
6. Place brisket in oven.
7. Check after 2 hours, juices will be oozing, cook another 2-2.5hours until tender.
8. Remove and let cool, put in refrigerator overnight.
9. Next day, remove fat, add 1 cup of hot boiling water, pour all "gravy" into a separate sauce pan.
10. To make the gravy, add 2 Tbsp of cornstarch to thicken, and then add 1/2 cup of red wine and some cut up mushrooms. Bring to a boil.
11. Slice whatever brisket needed to serve, into the pan, and then serve when warm.
