How to understand the three things about the DCF investigation. That's huge. Number one, DCF's going to interview you, your children. And it has a checklist to check out your home. Number two, DCF's going to contact collaterals, such as the pediatrician, the school, the daycare, psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, and other interviews involved with your family. Number three, the DCF is going to write a report, call a 51B Investigation. And that report's going to have either supported or unsupported, or other types of substantiated concern. And what you need to know and realize is that you must appeal that if it's adverse within 30 days of what's called a grievance or a fair hearing.
