Please note as I mentioned in the video and any video that I may have posted , Learn the form first and try not to get hung up on what you think the the application to the movement may be..that will come as you progress. It is better to think of the feeling of the movement. If you start to say that this movement is only use to do xyz, you limit yourself of all the other possibilities that can be done with that movement.

Stances in the form:
Horse Stance - mǎbù" (馬步)
Half Horse Stance - bàn mǎ bù (半马步)
Gong bu (弓步)
Empty Stance -Xū Bù" (虛步) or also know as Cat Stance - Māo Bù (貓步)
Lotus Stance - Liánhuā zīshì (莲花姿势)
Rooster Stance - Gōngjī zīshì (公鸡姿势)
Hand in the form:
Fist - Chuan or quan (拳)
Palm - Zōnglǘ (棕榈)
Hook - Gōu (钩)
