US President Donald Trump has warned Russia of imminent military action in Syria. He declared that missiles "will be coming" and Russia should "get ready." Truman Carrier Strike Group, including the German frigate the FGS Hessen departed from Norfolk, Virginia and is headed to the eastern Mediterranean. Moscow has warned that any US missiles flying over Syria "will be downed." US Secretary of Defense James Mattis says the Pentagon is ready to provide options for a Syria strike, but notes the US and its allies are still gathering information. "We're still assessing the intelligence ourselves and our allies. We stand ready to provide military options if they are appropriate, as the president determined."
