A 150-year-old stepwell has been uncovered in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, spanning 400 square meters with marble and brick chambers. The discovery followed the reopening of the Shiv-Hanuman temple after 46 years. Excavation teams removed topsoil to reveal the hidden structure. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) surveyed 24 areas, including five teerths and 19 wells. The District Magistrate confirmed the historical significance of the discovery.
