Grand Marais is a picturesque village on Lake Superior. It has been named American's Coolest Small Town (Budget Travel Magazine), Top 10 Beach Getaways (Outside Magazine), and Next Great Adventure Town (National Geographic Adventure Magazine).

This postcard perfect village is a great place for nature lovers and you may even see a painter at Artist's Point painting one of the many beautiful scenes around the lake. There are nearby restaurants and there was a lovely little shop across the road from our hotel that had the best fudge.
If I could handle the snow, this would be my perfect place to live.
