Deburring fineblanked parts: [ Ссылка ]
High-quality automotive, aeronautics and medical-device manufacturers and job shops worldwide rely on FANUC America Authorized System Integrator Abtex Corporation for innovative solutions to complex deburring problems. For an American finishing company, problems included efficient handling and deburring of a precision-ground fineblanked part at a rate of nearly 500 parts per hour -- and a shortage of available floorspace.
Abtex engineers knew that both problems could be solved with the company’s proprietary Tri-Ten planetary-head deburring system, along with some creative automation and industrial robots from FANUC for efficient parts handling. The Tri-Ten system uses three Abtex-designed, 10-inch, abrasive nylon filament brushes mounted in a planetary head that aligns perfectly with the parts to be deburred. Each brush can be programmed to spin at up to 15-hundred revolutions per minute either clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the application.
For this application, Abtex also designed a unique, continuously moving table with non-magnetic “nests” capable of holding up to 14 parts. To feed the table and speed the process, Abtex used special conveyors to transfer parts from the customer’s grinding station to the table and added the versatile and compact 6-axis FANUC LR Mate 200iD robot to the system. The FANUC LR Mate robot is programmed to perform a process called “circular line tracking” to differentiate burred and deburred parts on the table. Deburred parts are rinsed and moved by an outflow conveyor to the next manufacturing station. Now, this finishing company can easily deburr nearly 500 parts per hour with potential for twice that capacity with no modifications to the current system.
Where machine, burr, and brush intersect, Abtex dominates. To learn more about FANUC America Authorized System Integrator Abtex Corporation, please visit [ Ссылка ].
