Surrogacy is a contract in which a woman carries a pregnancy for an infertile couple. Large numbers of desired couples from all over the world come to India for commercial surrogacy due to relatively low cost and lack of proper and stringent law. It has now been nicknamed the "rent-a-womb" capital and the “surrogate mom capital” of the world. Although this appears to be mutually beneficial, there are certain sensitive issues that need to be flagged.
