In today's video, we breakdown how to go about soloing Cazel. He's a tough lvl 51 giant in Oasis of Marr that Enchanters need to kill for their epic quest. I had quite a few people tell me he couldn't be soloed, but after a handful of attempts and some wiki research, we made it happen.
In this video, you'll see my first 5 attempts and the learning process that I went through figuring it out. I finally took him down at my 8th attempt, but unfortunately wasn't recording the last couple attempts. I got the flu the next day after recording this so I haven't played in a couple weeks and just finally got this recording edited for you.
The 5th and final attempt in this video shows exactly what I did to solo him... I just mistimed my charm break the past couple attempts and the enemies I put him up against killed him. I was fortunate enough not to die in any of these attempts. Thank you Spirit of the Wolf lol.
Here's how the video breaks down if you want to skip to any one attempt instead of see my learning process the first hour or so...
1st attempt: 0:00 - 11:50... I charm Cazel and have him face up against a low lvl innkeeper... Cazel destroys him in seconds and I have to zone.
Finding the right DPS: 12:38 - 16:00... After some research, I learned that I need to reverse charm Cazel against two lvl 45's in the zone... Innkeeper Tizzy & Gadalion. It took me a while to find where they both are, but that was needed for future attempts.
2nd Attempt: 16:15 - 21:50...I get both enemies up against Cazel but don't have them lined up right and only 1 is attacking him at a time. I also learn that he does in fact summon lol. I got lucky I think other times where I had enough distance or no line of sight and he wasn't summoning.
3rd Attempt: 30:00 - 36:20...I try a different method where I charm 1 of the innkeepers and I DOT and DD blast Cazel. His regen is 350 per tick though and I definitely can't out dps his regen before mana is drained quickly.
4th Attempt: 43:00 - 49:45... We get Cazel against both enemies, but it gets messy. Not lined up correctly and I didn't haste them to help with the DPS.
5th Attempt: 49:50 - End... I do everything right here but mistime my charm break and Tizzy/Gadalion kill off Cazel before I can finish him. This attempt shows you everything that needs to be done and is exactly how I ended up finishing him a few attempts after... The next few attempts after this, the same issue happened where I didn't time my charm break at the right point. Got to get him to 1% health before charm break and DD blast immediately or he will out regen the dps.
This was extremely fun and tough.
