The multi-frequency eddy current sorter selects eight representative frequencies from low frequency to intermediate frequency to high frequency. It only needs to scan a few qualified parts and read the electromagnetic "fingerprints" of the qualified parts. Then the tolerance zone of the instrument parameter range will be automatically generated. During the inspection of other workpieces, as long as the "fingerprints" of the qualified parts are different, they will be judged as unqualified. The types of unqualified inspections include material mixture, cracks, hardness deviation, overburning, overheating, uneven depth of carburized layer, quenching Uneven layer depth, secondary tempering, surface decarburization, material shortage, abnormal metallographic structure, etc. Due to the use of a wide range of eight frequencies for testing, even unknown defects can be detected.
Conventional eddy current sorter can only detect known defects, while multi-frequency eddy current sorter can detect unknown defects.
