Join me on my first flight in N2793P, a 1978 Lake Buccaneer. On the first day, we embark on a little trip across the northwestern United States in a Lake amphibian seaplane. Get a first hand look at sea plane landing and taking off with a cockpit view from the whole flight. Our first leg takes us from Wallawalla, Washington (KALW), to Bismarck, North Dakota (KBIS). For a plane that seldom gets more than 500 feet above the ground, this flight at 12,000' across the Rocky Mountains is a true test of the Lake Buccaneer's performance capabilities and my endurance! We skirt a series of thunderstorms and watch a beautiful day unfold over Idaho, Montana and North Dakota.
