A cloudburst occurred in Tehri district's Devprayag in Uttarakhand on May 11. Shops and several other properties were damaged, informed a police official. However, no casualties have been reported yet. Police said, “Since, most of these shops were closed due to lockdown, no casualties have been reported yet.” Rescue operation in the area has been undertaken by SDRF teams. Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Uttarkhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat to enquire about the situation and assured all assistance from the central government.
