Rose Island Movie Review.

Rose Island is a true story set in 1968 about a genius engineer named Giorgio Rosa who built his own island off the Italian coast and declared it as a nation. The island had facilities of a restaurant, bar, nightclub and even a post office. The place became a hot spot among the locals as well as a tourist destination. Thousands of people applied for citizenship as well. With the gaining popularity of Rose Island, the Italian government was not amused by this new nation and in early 1969, with explosives, they destroyed the island.

The film is directed by Sydney Sibilia and stars Elio Germano, Matilda De Angelis, Fabrizio Bentivoglio, François Cluzet, Tom Wlaschiha, Luca Zingaretti, Leonardo Lidi, Fabrizio, Rongione, Marco Pancrazi, Andrea Pennacchi, Alberto Astorri, Violetta Zironi, Christian Ginepro, Frank Gerrish, Christian Stamm, Ascanio Balbo, Giulio Farnese, Luca Della Bianca, Marco Sincini, Vincent Frost, Riccardo Marzi.
