I found three #newts and a large #toad whilst tidying in the garden. #frogs toads and newts are native #amphibians to the UK. In the south they have #slowworms and #lizards which are native #reptiles in many UK #gardens I have focused my #gardening around encouraging #wildlife and #biodiversity I have installed a wildlife pond, a log pile, a hibernaculum and a wildflower meadow.

In the UK we have smooth newts, palmate newts and great crested newts. I believe the ones I saw were Great Crested Newts Triturus Cristatus which are the highly protected ones.

newts are protected species so if you find them please do not touch them and try not to disturb them. when I found these I took some footage of the newt walking away then left the area.
