Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif resigns after Supreme Court verdict
Pakistan's Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has stepped down after the Supreme Court disqualified him from office as leader of the country's government.
This landmark ruling comes after months of hearings in a case instigated by the "Panama Papers" leaks, related to alleged corruption during his previous two terms in office.
Sharif was serving as prime minister for a third time and he was less than a year away from becoming the first civillian PM to complete a full term in office.
