50 y.o. man for routine screening colonoscopy.
Live worm found attached to the cecum and removed using a forceps.
Worm was attached to the mucosa on one end, but removed and sent to parisitology for identification (pending, but likely Anisakiasis).
Patient was asymptomatic, and loves sushi and admitted to eating a large amount of sushi from a variety of locations. He was given antiparasitic medication for eradication.
Path results pending, but likely Anisakiasis given sushi history: [ Ссылка ]
