Greg Jacobs with Landmark Preservation of Savannah describes the ongoing restoration of the historically lower roof line of the original structure at Meadow Garden in Augusta. The original structure on the house's left side was built in 1791 by George Walton, one of Georgia's three signers of the Declaration of Independence. Walton lived in the home from 1791 until his death in 1804.
