"Tonight we moved 30 detainees out from here on their way to their final destination. It was a joint effort between army military police and airforce security forces. We trained for it for about a week before we came here. It went off flawlessly - exactly as we have been trained, so it felt pretty routine and we feel good about it."

STORYLINE:
Thirty more Taliban and al-Qaida detainees departed Afghanistan by plane bound for Cuba late on Sunday, three days after the first group of prisoners was transferred to a high security facility there.
The prisoners, shackled and with white caps covering their faces, shuffled in the darkness into a C-17 transport plane for the long flight to Guantanamo Bay in eastern Cuba.
Two U-S troops flanked each of the detainees as they walked across the tarmac to the aircraft.
All lights at the U-S base at the Kandahar airport were shut off except for red low intensity lights and green chemical lighting, a measure aimed at improving security.
Attack dogs and Humvees (armoured off-road military vehicle) with 50-calibre machine guns patrolled the area.
The first group of 20 detainees left Kandahar on Thursday and arrived in Guantanamo Bay the following day.
