Hello guys, today in this video i have showed you a very simple dc to dc boost converter based on popular UC3843 IC. The input voltage of this boost converter is from 10v to 24v and the output voltage can be adjusted between 10v to 30v. The most important thing to notice is its inductor and output filter capacitor. The output filter capacitor should have very low internal resistance otherwise the circuit will not work properly. The more you take the value of the output capacitor the better it is. While winding the inductor make sure to wind it tightly otherwise it will make unwanted noise. I have used IRFZ44 MOSFET. You can use any N channel MOSFET and for the diode i have used MBR20100 diode and you can use any Schottky diode from an old ATX power supply and also don't forgot insulate the MOSFET and the diode from the heat sink. The power of this boost converter is around 80w which can be easily increased. The main thing is its efficiency which is above 80%. I have used an inductor from an old ATX power supply with an outer diameter of 24mm, inner diameter of 14mm and a height of 9mm.
THANKS FOR WATCHING THE VIDEO. HAVE A NICE DAY :D
