The TRIM function in Excel will remove all extra spaces from a text string. If you have space at the beginning or ending on a text string, the TRIM will remove that space. The TRIM is a great text function in Excel, and it has one argument. =TRIM(text) The text can be a cell reference. For example, =TRIM(A2)
If you have stubborn data from a website, you may need to combine TRIM with CLEAN, SUBSTITUTE, and the LEN function. Here is my video on combining all these functions.
