I have been to various different bike parks on the hunt for the perfect whale tail feature that I could ride. However, they have been a little too difficult for me as they had gaps onto and off of them. But I had seen on the Phoenix Cycleworks instagram that they have made a few changes to the park which included a whale tail.
The set up was perfect as they had the gap covered over so if you came up too short then there is no possibility of hurting yourself. I had a few goes on the feature and got the feeling of it. I managed to clear it going out but not coming into it.
I then tried following @TomCardy into it to get the speed which definitely helped. However because I could not clear the jumps before it I had to pump quite hard which was made difficult on a full suspension bike, so I swapped bikes and used Toms jump bike and I finally managed to clear it!
