As soon as i got the news that Mumbai - Pune Intercity Express is coming with a pure AC locomotive for the first time, i rushed to capture it from home and before i got that, here comes even bigger surprise and an unexpected spotting after that too!
Date: Wednesday, 10th June 2015.
Time: 8:20 AM.
Location: S-curve near Akurdi, PCMC,Maharashtra.

For the first time ever bi-weekly uniform rake of 12220 Secunderabad - Lokmanya Tilak Terminus AC Duronto Express turned up with a Gooty WDP-4D #40130 and it blasts past me at around 100Kmph chasing Pragati Express by a gap of 5minutes and as soon as it disappeared comes in another unexpected catch, around 2 hours BEFORE TIME(!!!) running 22149 Ernakulam - Pune Superfast Express with a rebuilt ERS WDM-3A #14048 races towards its final destination.
Actually this was the first run of this train with Konkan Railway's monsoon time-table got effective from 6th June 2015 and the arrival at PUNE Jn has been shifted from 5:50 AM to 10:55 AM, this includes a huge slack time resulting in running before time by almost 2 hours!! :o
