Lori Coulter is one of the co-founders of Summersalt, a direct-to-consumer swimwear company that has recently expanded into intimates, pajamas and travel-wear. On the heels of closing $6.1 million in Series A funding led by Founders Fund, for a total funding of $8.7 million, she is running one of the most heavily funded female-founded DTC brands. The company launched and attributes its initial success to their ability to offer customers premium swimwear made out of eco-friendly materials, without the designer price tag.
Forbes editor Steve Bertoni sat down with Coulter to talk about her early work in tech and how Summersalt found its footing at the intersection of tech, fashion and data analysis.
