I was lucky to buy this kit cheap (£8:00) from a clearance warehouse in the summer and built her over Christmas . The 29 has got to be one of the most beautiful aircraft to date and is a must for any student of fighter jets ! I chose this scheme over the normal blue / grey splinter that you normally see , It was actually applied to a later aircraft MiG-29 SMT , which was a demonstrator at MAKS . I think she would look good in anything , I only added a belly tank , shortened , from my spares box . Had to fill in the top intakes and left off the panels inside ,then painted black where engines would be ! ( You have to look real close to see inside .) Grey primer from spraycan , then handpainted with enamels , only filler needed around the gear doors , which is only to be expected when you want to build them closed . .
