IRISH HOT WHISKEY INGREDIENTS
(Makes 1 drink)

To Make Cinnamon Tea
● 2 cups (500 mL) water
● 3 cinnamon sticks

To Make Hot Irish Whiskey
● 1 thick lemon slice
● 12 cloves
● 1.7 oz (50 mL) Irish whiskey
● 1 tbsp honey
● 1 cup (250 mL) cinnamon tea

DIRECTIONS

- Pour two cups of water in a pot, and add 3 cinnamon sticks.
- Boil the water for about 10 minutes, long enough for the cinnamon sticks to be infused into the water.
- While the tea is boiling, cut two slices of lemon that are about 1 cm thick.
- Slice them both in half and insert 3 cloves on both sides.
- Measure out about 50 mL (1.7 ounces) of Irish whiskey.
- Add the lemon to your glass first to avoid any splashing of that precious Irish whiskey.
- Pour in the whiskey.
- Add about a teaspoon of honey.
- Be sure to put a spoon in the glass before adding the hot liquid. The metal absorbs the heat and prevents the glass from breaking.
- Pour in the hot cinnamon tea.
- Stir and enjoy.
